Job description: 1. Work closely with developer (CN), operations(LA&CN), infrastructure(NA), and publishing teams to deliver the latest game content and best game experience to players all over the world; 2. Responsible for deployment, change, issues triage and infra management; 3. Monitoring and dash-boarding for game observability, and ensure the game is reliable, scalable and secure; 4. Strong advocate for DevOps practices with experience building CI/CD pipelines; 5. Ensure the game is effectively supported and monitored and that manual work is minimize; 6. Driving initiatives to automate processes and reduce toil; 7. Building and operating cloud infrastructure environments and platforms; 8. Technical coaching and mentoring of less experienced engineers in the lab.
Requirement: 1. Experience in Linux and ideally recent experience in container orchestration (Docker,Mesos, etc) and a scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash); 2. Experience of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure) and ideally Tencent cloud; 3. Strong experience of Site Reliability Engineering practices and principles; 4. Experience with source code management and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab); 5. Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques; 6. Previous involvement in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle; 7. Passion for mentoring and technical coaching of engineers; 8. Collaborative skills - being open to pair programming and working closely with engineers in cross functional teams; 9. Infrastructure provisioning tools e.g. Terraform; 10. Experience of operating worldwide scale games or production systems alongside monitoring and telemetry practices; 11. Solid understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, and DNS); 12. A competent Business English communicator, both written and verbal; 13. Demonstrable experience working with people from different cultures and backgrounds; 14. Experience with international travel. Preferred: 1. Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus; 2. Experience with worldwide online game live operations is a plus; 3. Experience with routing (BGP), database(MySQL, NoSQL) and tools (ping, traceroute); 4. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable field; 5. Experience with leading front-line technical operations teams (e.g., NOC).
